About Balapitiya City
Balapitiya is a small fishing village in the the south western coast of Sri Lanka. Located midway between Bentota and Hikkaduwa Tourist Resorts, Balapitiya is the ideal starting point for boat safaris along River Madu Ganga. The River Madu Ganga rich in birdlife is home to no less than 64 islands with a vegetation of mangrove eco system. Roundtrip boat rides are organized by the hotels around Balapitiya.
